About this Event
There are over 300 versions of Hallelujah. Jeff Buckley's is the one.
It isn't a religious song. It isn't a love song. It's something harder to name — an ode to everything broken and beautiful about being human. All in one word, repeated, until it means everything at once.
As ever — no performance, no audition, no experience required. Just voices joining as one and something shifting, the way it always does when humans sing together in a room.
Our host for the evening is Rob Castell, who will guide you through every part — vocal warm-up, learning the harmonies, putting it all together. There's knowing a song. And then there's singing it with a room full of humans who have all felt something they can't quite put into words.
Tea and flapjacks provided. Come as you are.
What to expect:
A relaxed, welcoming 90-minute session from 7:30–9pm. A warm-up. Learning the song in parts. Singing it together. Tea. A post-session hang if you'd like to stay.
What not to expect:
Judgement. Auditions. Anyone caring whether you're in tune.
