Info: Starbooks Café: Pages of Progress is an inspiring, student-led event where learners with disabilities take center stage to share their reflections on novels explored throughout the school year. This inclusive literary showcase highlights student perspectives, personal connections, and deepened understanding of the texts. Through creative displays, artwork, and guided discussions, students demonstrate meaningful growth in literacy, confidence, and communication. The session celebrates diverse voices and underscores the importance of accessible education and inclusive communication in fostering literacy development. Info: Come and enjoy a FREE breakfast Friday, December 12th at 8AM sponsored by CATT and learn all about the great resources they provide. The Center for Assistive Technology Training (CATT) Project is a collaboration between the American Printing House for the Blind (APH) and the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind (AIDB). Our mission is to provide access technology training to teachers of the visually impaired and educational professionals utilizing a “train the trainer” model, while also providing training and support for students and families.

Devices are provided through APH and training is provided through AIDB-employed trainers serving a nine-state region (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee), Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands.
