About this Event
The City has launched new Gardens and Greenways Programs and made recent updates to mobile and stationary vending. Members of City Planning are coming to walk you through what's new and how to take advantage of it.
Whether you're a farmer looking for more vending options or more secure, longer-term land access, or a community gardener curious about what might be available to you, this event is for you.
What you'll learn:
- The new Gardens Program and Greenways Program, including available land access options and eligibility
- How both programs secure longer-term leases than current Adopt-a-Lot leases
- The City's updates to mobile and stationary vending, which create new opportunities for growers to operate roaming market stands and potentially sell directly from their growing sites
- How to access, use, and apply for each of these opportunities
Until now, there was no clear path for roaming stands or on-site sales, and farm stands were not permitted at community gardens. These updates change that.
After the presentations, there will be time for Q&A with City Planning staff, followed by an opportunity to network with other growers and gardeners.
Light refreshments will be provided.
