#GamesUR Conference 2026

The #GamesUR Conference is the annual gathering of the Games User Research community — for practitioners working across console, PC, mobile, and academia. We also welcome anyone who wants to know more about the games user research discipline. This event is run by volunteers from the IGDA Games User Research SIG, with support from IGDA and IGDA Finland. This year, we will have a lineup of incredible Games User Research talks across 2 days.

For the #GamesUR Conference 2026, we’re excited to bring you a conference in Helsinki on October 22–23, 2026, at Solo Sokos Hotel Pier 4.

Purchase a General Admission ticket for entry to the 2-day event in Helsinki. A discounted Student Pass - 2 Day Admission ticket is also available for those enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.

The first day includes networking time following the talks. Lunch, as well as morning and afternoon coffee and tea service, will be provided on both days.

This year, we're opening up #GamesUR Conference 2026 to remote attendees with a Live Stream Pass so Games User Researchers everywhere can be part of the conversation, no matter where you're based. A Live Stream Pass and discounted Student Live Stream pass is available.

Your Live Stream Pass purchase includes:

• Live streaming access to talks across both conference days.
• Discord channels for the event will be created and conversations are encouraged during the conference, for both online and remote attendees.

Please note: Session recordings will be made publicly available approximately 1 month after the event, regardless of ticket type. The live streaming link will be delivered via email prior to the start of the event for all purchased ticket types. The Live Stream Pass is for those who want to watch and engage remotely in real time and does not include the roundtable discussions, in-person networking, or in-person access.
