Got an idea? Curious about starting a side hustle? Wondering whether self-employment could be for you?
Creating Your Own Opportunities is a free, relaxed and practical two-hour workshop for 18–30 year olds in Hastings and Bexhill who want to explore different ways of earning money, working for themselves or turning an idea into something real.
You don't need a business plan, previous experience or even a fully formed idea. You might already know what you'd like to do, have a hobby or skill you could potentially earn from, or simply be curious about whether self-employment or a side hustle could work for you.
During the session, we'll help you:
- explore your ideas, interests and strengths
- look at different ways you could create your own income
- think about side hustles and self-employment realistically
- work out whether an idea is worth exploring
- identify some simple, practical next steps
- start turning "maybe I could…" into "here's what I'm going to do next."
This isn't a formal business course and you won't spend two hours being talked at. Expect a friendly, supportive session with practical activities, conversation and space to explore what could work for you.
