Loftus Accord invite you to join us on our final special interest walk of the year, to enjoy the natural beauty in Loftus and the diverse range of fungi growing locally.Meet at Loftus Town Hall for a 10.15am prompt start, led by Harry and Kath Waring , our most experienced and local walk leaders to Warren Woods, to meet with Alan Simkins, North East Fungi Recorder to locate and identify the fungi in the woods. The walk will subsequently return to Loftus Town Hall.
Please wear clothing and footwear appropriate for both road and forest floor, which is often uneven and wet and for the weather on the day. Bring snacks and drinks- there will be no lunch break as such. Loftus is well-served by cafes and food outlets for after the walk.
A voluntary donation of £3 per adult towards the running costs of the group would be appreciated .Well behaved dogs are welcome , but must be kept on short leads at all times.
There are several free car parks in Loftus , whilst Arriva buses 5 and X4 stop at the marketplace near the Town Hall
