Sadly, in 2024, Robert Yuchniuk was diagnosed with stage 4b metastatic prostate cancer, which had spread to his bones and lymph nodes. He began treatment and worked through all the side effects associated with chemotherapy and medications. The cancer went into remission, and he thought the worst was over; but in early 2026, the cancer returned with a vengeance. Robert had to undergo targeted radiation therapy, and the side effects became too much. He was no longer able to perform his duties effectively. After a career of 28 years with the Waterford Police Department and 10 years as a civilian Animal Control Officer, he had to make the difficult decision to resign and spend the quality time remaining with his family.
Now Robert needs our help, as a result of his illness, he has lost an entire revenue stream as well as his great insurance. Now he is facing insurance premiums of $1,500.00 a month. As you might know, cancer treatments are ridiculously expensive, and his biggest fear is that he will leave his family with crippling medical debt.
