About this event
Event lasts up to 3 hours
MakerSpace Charlotte new address: 1003 Louise Ave, Suite A, Charlotte, NC 28205
This is a three hour drop in class designed to give you space, tools, and guidance to work on your next stained glass project. This is the perfect place to get help finishing a project you’ve been working on or to begin the piece you’ve been dreaming about.
You need to have a basic understanding of stained glass creation. If you’re new to stained glass, please consider taking one of our project based classes before this class.
Tools are available to use. You will bring your own consumable supplies like patterns, glass, foil, solder, came, patina, flux neutralizer, and wire. These supplies will be available for sale at the glass lab if needed. Storage trays are available for students who want to keep their pieces at Maker Space from week to week.
You decide the number of intermediate classes you need for your project. We want you to get what you need from this class - if you want to focus on specific skills, we can do that. This is like office hours for our stained glass instructor, Kenna Covington. The class size is small to accommodate individual instruction. Our dream is to build a community of people excited to work on intricate works of stained glass in Charlotte.
