Fulu Miziki is the collective shaking up the music scene with their wild, Afrofuturism-inspired sound – all created with self-made instruments made from trash. The name "Fulu Miziki" means "Music from Trash," and it perfectly captures the band’s creative madness: everything can be recycled, and every found object holds the potential to be transformed into something new.
Rooted in the vibrant city of Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo), Fulu Miziki blends punk, electronic sounds, and industrial soukous into an unmistakable sound that immediately grabs you. The band crafts their instruments from recycled materials, creating masked stage setups and costumes – all part of a vision that embraces the future, sustainability, and transformation.
