About this Event
Have you ever been completely certain you knew what was happening, only to discover you didn't have the whole story?
Your nervous system doesn't wait for certainty.
A pause in a conversation. A facial expression. A change in someone's tone. Unexpected news. Before you've consciously decided what any of it means, your breathing may change, muscles tighten, attention narrow, and your body prepare to respond.
Then the mind does something remarkably human.
It creates a story.
This Full Moon Tune-Up is an opportunity to experience what happens when you notice the difference between what happened, how your body responded, and what you decided it meant.
What Do You Actually Know?
Imagine presenting an idea you've worked hard on.
You finish.
The room goes silent.
Within seconds, your chest tightens and your mind starts filling in the blanks:
They don't like it.
I didn't explain it well.
This isn't going anywhere.
Then someone says:
“Give me a second. I'm thinking about what you just said.”
The silence didn't change.
The information available to you did.
Your body's initial response wasn't a mistake. Your nervous system is constantly using sensory information and previous experience to anticipate what might happen and help prepare you to respond.
But a protective response isn't necessarily a prediction.
And certainty can feel protective when uncertainty feels vulnerable.
The Full Moon
This Full Moon falls across the Gemini-Sagittarius axis, bringing a symbolic focus to information, interpretation, belief, and the stories through which we make meaning.
The Moon near Uranus adds the unexpected: new information, disruption, and the possibility that what we thought we knew isn't the whole picture.
Venus and Pluto deepen the inquiry.
When something involves love, belonging, approval, desire, or deeply held values, the stakes can feel higher. We may grip our interpretation more tightly, become convinced we know what someone meant, defend our position, or reach for positivity because uncertainty is uncomfortable.
The invitation isn't to distrust yourself.
It's to become curious about the difference between:
What happened? What did I feel? What did I assume? What do I actually know?
Experience Your Human Instrument
We'll begin the evening with a brief interactive experience of The Human Instrument.
Using your own voice, the musical scale, and traditional bija seed sounds, we'll move through a simple tuning sequence designed to let you experience vibration from the inside.
Then we'll introduce Return To Witness®:
Activation → Awareness → Agency → Action
Witnessing isn't standing outside yourself and analyzing your reaction.
It's noticing yourself inside the experience while it's happening.
Nothing has to stop. Nothing has to be fixed.
Then You Get To Receive
After the interactive opening, you'll get comfortable, and the rest of the experience is yours to receive.
Crystal singing bowls, gongs, and other resonant instruments will fill the room with layers of sound, vibration, and silence.
Sound is physical. It travels as pressure waves that we hear and, at certain frequencies and intensities, can also feel as vibration.
A sound may soothe you.
Another may surprise you.
You may feel a vibration somewhere unexpected. Your thoughts may become quieter or louder. You might notice emotion, resistance, spaciousness, restlessness, or deep relaxation.
There is no right response.
That's the experiment.
Can you experience something without immediately deciding what it means?
Can you notice your Human Instrument responding without needing to change the response?
Can you allow yourself, for one evening, to experience first and explain later?
Come curious.
Come exactly as you are.
Receive the sound. Notice what happens.
