Candlelight Full Moon Yoga: The Hunter's MoonThe Hunter's Moon is the full moon that follows the Harvest Moon, and its name reflects the seasonal shift from gathering crops to hunting for winter meat: fields are cleared, leaves have fallen, and game is easier to spot after fattening up over summer — plus the bright moonlight gave hunters extra evening hours to track prey. Other traditional names include the Drying Rice Moon (Dakota), Falling Leaves Moon (Anishinaabe), Freezing Moon or Ice Moon (Ojibwe and Haida), and Migrating Moon (Cree).
Experience Level:
While new students are welcome, some prior yoga experience is recommended to help you flow comfortably through the moon salutations and celestial sequences. If you're familiar with basic poses and sun salutations, you'll feel right at home!
