Philip Goff is a Professor of philosophy working at Durham University. His main interest is Panpsychism and the nature of consciousness. From Toad Venom to Jesus will look at the experiential basis of Philip's faith, the intellectual basis of his faith and why the mystical theology of the Eastern Orthodox church makes best sense of both of these things. Philip will also reflect on how he has found his spiritual home combining the mysticism of the Eastern church with the liberal flexibility of the Anglican church.
Dave Tomlinson is a priest and writer whose books include The Post-Evangelical, and How to Be a Bad Christian. He regularly speaks on Radio 2’s ‘Pause for Thought’ and has a weekly vodcast, ‘The Holy Shed’.
