About the speaker:
Born in Bangladesh, Rushanara Ali is an alumna and Honorary Fellow of St John’s College, Oxford, and was the first in her family to attend university. Following a career in public service and youth empowerment, she was elected to Parliament and has since held a number of ministerial roles.
