About this Event
If you're exhausted by endless text threads, unavailable people, ghosts (why is that even a related word?!), and the sheer absurdity of modern “dating”, it is time to take your power back!
You don’t need another dating app—you need a room full of shrewd women, a notebook, and a place to laugh your silly head off.
Join us at this interactive, two-hour Intro for a short meditation, playful improv activity, curated writing prompt, writing time and optional share.
Using your chosen literary genre and the playful spontaneity of improv, we will transform bad dates, heartbreak, and romantic boundary-crossing into powerful creative expression. We will laugh at mansplainers, give makeovers to bad dates and rewrite horrific breakup texts! The stage and page will be our oysters as we embrace our wild (and perhaps jaded) selves!
No experience necessary.
Led by professional dater — er poet, dating-playwright (A Coveted Wife of East Van, Vancouver Fringe), journalist and 30-year writing-workshop-facilitation veteran Marn Norwich, this intimate, transformative 4-week circle is a darkly funny, deeply cathartic space to process romantic letdowns and reclaim your worth.
Learn how to hurdle blocks, tap into your resilience, and rewrite your personal narrative with complete creative authority!
This is a free intro to the women's trauma-informed, four-week masterclass running Tuesdays, October 22 - November 10, 2026, 6:30 - 8:30 pm ($400 + GST).
Please note: there are limited seats for this intro. If you register but can't make it, kindly cancel your registration so that others can attend.
The workshop will be held at beautiful Circles in the Square, a joyful gathering place for conversation, creativity and community.
