From Stardust to Soil: Exploring Nature as Our Ancestor
There are parts of us that are older than the Earth itself.
The minerals in our bones, the iron in our blood, the oxygen moving through our lungs — the elements that make up our bodies have a history that reaches back to ancient stars. Over billions of years, that same matter became stone and soil, oceans and forests, and eventually, us.
We are not simply surrounded by nature. We are part of it.
Holly and Emily invite you to: From Stardust to Soil, an exploration of that relationship through yoga movement, meditation, sound healing, poetry and reflection.
Together, we’ll consider what changes when we begin to experience the natural world not as something separate from ourselves, but as our ancestor — something we have emerged from, something that continues to sustain us, and something we are still in relationship with.
Through movement and stillness, we’ll explore the body as part of this larger story. Through breath, we’ll reflect on the quiet reciprocity that exists between ourselves and the living world. Through meditation, sound and readings inspired by nature, we’ll create space to listen more closely and perhaps notice the ordinary things around us with a little more reverence.
A stone. A pinecone. A feather. A breath. The ground beneath us: small reminders of a relationship that has always been there.
As part of the experience, you’ll also create your own aromatherapy jar using natural elements from our meditation. You’ll build something personal to take home — a small, tangible reminder of your connection to the natural world. Open it whenever you need a moment to pause, breathe, and remember where you come from.
No previous yoga or meditation experience is necessary.
