About this Event

From the soil we stand on to the community we build—our strength starts together.

Join us for From Soil to Strength, the official community cookout and launch of the Fayetteville Resiliency Organizing Hub, presented in partnership with the NC Climate Justice Collective, Lost Voices, RHF, and Uncle Carl.

On Sunday, October 25, we're bringing the community together at Rick's Place for an afternoon centered around good food, music, art, family, conversation, and connection.

And most importantly:

It's completely FREE.

🌱 FROM SOIL TO STRENGTH

This isn't just a cookout.

It's an opportunity to bring Fayetteville residents, families, artists, organizers, youth, and community leaders into the same space—not for another meeting, but to eat together, enjoy ourselves, build relationships, and talk about what a stronger Fayetteville can look like.

The Fayetteville Resiliency Organizing Hub is rooted in the Four R's:

RESIST — recognizing and challenging the systems that harm our communities.

REFORM — improving the systems and resources our communities depend on.

REIMAGINE — creating new possibilities centered around community needs.

RECREATE — putting those ideas into action and building something stronger.

Throughout it all, we're exploring food justice, community power, resilience, and what it means to create a stronger tomorrow together.

🌎 WHY WE'RE GATHERING

Resiliency isn't something that happens only during a crisis.

It's built through relationships.

It's built when neighbors know one another.

It's built when communities have access to food, resources, art, information, and spaces where their voices matter.

And sometimes—it starts with something as simple as sitting down and sharing a plate.

That's what From Soil to Strength is about.

Come hungry.

Bring the family.

Meet your neighbors.

Enjoy the music.

Add your voice to the conversation.

And help us imagine what we can build together.

From Soil to Strength: The Four R's in Action.

Resist. Reform. Reimagine. Recreate.
