A powerful choral and visual collaboration exploring the enduring call for peace. Music by Felix Mendelssohn and Karl Jenkins, including The Peacemakers, incorporating words of peace from Martin Luther King Jr., Gandhi, St. Francis of Assisi, and others - provides the foundation for an evening of reflection, hope, and reconciliation. The Choir School of Hartford, the Choirs of Trinity Hartford, Old St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, and Wapping Community Church are joined by UConn Shadow Puppetry, whose shadows, light, and movement respond to and illuminate the music - creating a visual journey from darkness toward light.
Directed by Markus Centola, Maria Centola, and Dr. Kelly Whitesell Powers
