Learn to capture the personality and movement of your favorite songbirds on paper with local naturalist and wildlife illustrator Jack Hobe. In this hands-on workshop, Jack will share techniques for making quick, loose sketches of birds before they fly away, along with simple approaches to drawing feathers, wings, tails, feet, and distinctive markings.Birds can be challenging—and sometimes uncooperative—subjects! By combining his passion for birding and illustration, Jack will help participants break down complicated feather patterns, recognize basic forms, and use a bird’s movement, posture, and behavior to create more natural sketches.
