About this Event
A vision of the Risen Christ overturned St Paul's life in a flash: he changed from persecutor of Christians to passionate witness and Christian theologian, ultimately laying down his life as a martyr.
Join us to explore St Paul's theology through the witness of Scripture, to understand how the Resurrection impacts our lives as Christians.
This study day for lay people is designed to strengthen your faith and understanding (online attendance also available: see below).
Fr Nicholas Crowe OP (Prior Provincial, Province of England) and Fr Richard Ounsworth OP (Prior, Holy Cross, Leicester) will be your guides on this exploration of the Christian faith.
- Pharisee to Apostle: Paul and the Promise of Salvation
- One Body, One Spirit: Living the Risen Life
This day will be followed by two online sessions on the following Monday evenings (15 & 22 March), 7.30pm UK time, to consolidate and further develop your understanding of this theme.
- Saved by Faith? Paul, Grace and Justification (15th March)
- Citizens of Heaven: Living in a World Transformed by Christ (22nd March)
As well as talks and discussions, the day will allow you opportunities to pray in the beautiful Blackfriars church, and to have conversations with the friars and with other participants.
- Lunch and refreshments are provided (please notify of any dietary requirements).
- Booking: please donate to cover our costs (suggested amount: £45 full / £25 concession). Donations can be added via EventBrite when you book, or here: https://www.blackfriars.org.uk/supporting-blackfriars/donate/donate-in-support-of-studium-short-courses/
