Mark is CEO of Sheffield-based Warp Films, one of the UK’s most critically acclaimed independent film and television production companies. For over 2 decades they have been producing iconic titles such as ‘Four Lions', 'This is England', and Netflix’s recent global hit ‘Adolescence’. Warp Films is noted for its ability to blend raw, independent, British storytelling with global success, their 2025 production ‘Adolescence' won an incredible 6 Emmy Awards.

Though 'From Dead Man’s Shoes to Adolescence’, Mark will explore Warp's 20 year history of projects and discuss; the role Sheffield and its creative network has played, his dedication to telling working class stories, and the risks of carrying your Emmy round in a Sports Direct bag.

He hails from Doncaster and studied Film Studies at Sheffield Hallam University between 1991and 1994. Strap yourself in and prepare to be blown away.
