About this Event
Sheffield City Council and Sheffield Chamber of Commerce’s Sustainable Business Network invite you to the launch of the Business & Economy Decarbonisation Routemap, a new, business‑led plan to support Sheffield companies to cut carbon, reduce costs and build long‑term resilience.
The routemap has been co‑designed with Sheffield businesses, shaped through workshops, interviews and steering‑group oversight, and sets out clear, practical actions that businesses can take whatever stage they are at.
At this event, you will:
- Hear a short overview of the routemap, its purpose and the benefits for Sheffield businesses, including cost savings, efficiency gains and long‑term resilience.
- Learn from real case studies, including the Low Carbon Project and examples of local businesses already reducing emissions.
- Explore how the routemap supports different sectors, readiness levels and business sizes, offering clear routes to action and the support available.
- Connect with the Sheffield Chamber’s Sustainable Business Network, who will play a key role in supporting ongoing engagement, peer learning and pledge activity as part of the routemap’s delivery.
- Find out how to access Sheffield’s Low Carbon Support Project, including energy audits, expert advice and grant funding to cut energy use and reduce carbon emissions.
- Meet other Sheffield businesses and partners committed to practical decarbonisation.
Whether you are starting out, on the journey, or leading the way, this launch will help you understand what decarbonisation means for your business — and the simple, practical steps you can take next and help the city achieve its low carbon goal.
