We’re changing things up for our November 7 Claydate at Red Chair Farm! We’re making clay characters, and you get to choose what yours becomes.
Create a Christmas angel, Christmas tree, a whimsical gnome with an oversized hat and plenty of personality, or a witch or ghoulish character if spooky is always your style.
Each project starts with the same basic cone shape. From there, we’ll add the details that make it yours. Think flowing wings, a wonderfully wild beard, a crooked hat, or a mischievous little face. Sweet, silly, elegant, or delightfully quirky, your character will fit your personal style.
Never worked with clay? You’re in the right place.
Lora from Hands On Art will guide you step by step as you turn a slab of raw clay into your own handmade creation. You’ll get the instruction and encouragement you need, with room to follow your imagination.
Bring a friend or son/daughter (12+) and make it a creative afternoon together, or come on your own and enjoy good company around the table. This is the kind of afternoon that leaves you smiling, with something to look forward to displaying year after year.
YOUR CLAYDATE INCLUDES:
• Clay and tools to create one character
• Step-by-step instruction and help personalizing your piece
• Glazing and kiln firing
• Your finished keepsake, ready approximately three weeks after class
