About this Event
Climate change continues to exacerbate the vulnerabilities within the industrial food system. These disruptions are impacting the safety, production, cost, and access of fresh food. This is the time to think and act regionally! Join us for a dynamic conversation as we explore ideas of public food markets, resiliency, and how we can bring the bounty of our regional food more efficiently into the city. Our host, Snøhetta, will also provide an introduction to their work at the Roosevelt Library Seed Project.

Introduction by Kurt Marsh, Landscape Architect at Snøhetta
Kurt will introduce Snøhetta’s Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library Native Seed Project, highlighting how designing with regional materials and native plant communities, and land management can inform a regenerative approach to the built environment. He will also share how the design supported the development of the project’s café, Salt + Scoria, that highlights indigenous knowledge of native plants and sustainable food production.
