Following a successful performance at the Halifax Jazz Festival, I'm thrilled to bring "From Beirut to Moncton" to our community in an expanded concert that celebrates connection, culture, and belonging through music, and all to support one of the most special organizations in our community -and one of the dearest to my heart- United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick.Accompanied by Loqman Dali Youcef (Acoustic Guitar), Jad Soughayar (Electric Guitar), Abdelouahab Belhadj (Oud), and Alaa Fayyad (Darbouka- percussion), I will reimagine some of my favourite Arabic classics alongside contemporary and fusion-inspired arrangements, with select songs performed in English and French. This program promises to take you on a journey through different musical traditions, languages, and rhythms, creating a conversation between my Lebanese roots and my life in Atlantic Canada.
Through songs and stories of love, migration, memory, and hope, "From Beirut to Moncton" reflects on what it means to build a home between cultures. The concert invites audiences from all backgrounds to discover familiar emotions through new sounds and to celebrate the diversity that enriches our communities.
This special fundraising event supports United Way Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick and its work to build stronger, more inclusive communities. The spirit of the evening is simple: bringing people together through music, creating opportunities to connect, and supporting a shared commitment to community well-being.
Join us for an evening of heartfelt music, cultural discovery, and community support.
