Terror Firmer (18)
Making a movie can be very difficult . . . especially when the director is insane. In addition to the typical trials and travails of a low budget film, this particular crew is being terrorised by a bomb-toting serial killer! However, in the midst of all the chaos, love springs eternal as Jennifer, a production assistant, struggles to decide between the two men in her life; Casey, the straight-laced boom operator and the rebellious special effects technician, Jerry. As the love triangle intensifies so does the body count. Can the underpaid and overworked crew band together to stop the crazed killer? Will Jennifer choose the right guy? Will cinema as we know it be redefined? Troma supremo Lloyd Kaufman (extremely) loosely adapts his own book All I Need to Know About Filmmaking I Learned from The Toxic Avenger which was co-written by James Gunn (Guardians Of The Galaxy).
Poultrygeist: Night Of The Chicken Dead (18)
When the American Chicken Bunker, a military themed fast food restaurant, builds its latest chain restaurant on the site of an ancient Native American burial ground, the displaced spirits take revenge on unsuspecting diners and transform them into chicken zombies! Now, it’s up to a dimwitted counter boy, his ex-girlfriend and a fry cook to put an end to the foul feathered menace once and for all.
Double bill screening with an introduction from Fright Club programmer Adam Crowther and cult film historian Darrell Buxton.
