About this Event
🔐 Want to meet new people in San Diego without walking into a room and awkwardly trying to make small talk?
Join Friendzy for an Escape Room Challenge designed for people in their 30s & 40s who want to make new friends while actually doing something fun together.
We'll start the night at The Escape Game, where you'll be placed on a pre-assigned team and have 60 minutes to solve clues, crack puzzles and work together to escape your room.
Once the games are over, the night isn't! We'll head to a nearby bar for a casual social meetup, giving everyone a chance to grab a drink, compare escape-room victories (or failures), and meet people from the other teams.
Coming solo? Perfect. Most Friendzy attendees do. You don't need to bring a team or already know anyone. We'll take care of the groups for you.

No escape room experience required. No team required. And definitely no networking.
When & Where

⏰ Check-in: 6:45–7:00 PM
⚠️ All attendees MUST check in by 7:00 PM.
Our escape rooms begin promptly at 7:15 PM, and unfortunately late arrivals cannot be accommodated once the games begin.
The escape rooms will conclude around 8:15 PM, and we'll then head to a designated nearby bar together for the social portion of the evening. You're welcome to stay for as much of the post-game social as you'd like.
Who This Is For
This event is for you if:
- You'd like to expand your social circle in San Diego
- You want to meet people without the awkwardness of a traditional mixer or networking event
- You enjoy games, puzzles or trying something new
- You're comfortable coming solo, or want to get more comfortable doing it!
- You'd rather bond over an activity than make small talk
This event is geared toward adults in their 30s & 40s. While you don't have to be an exact age to attend, please keep in mind that the event and groups are designed with this age range in mind.
Group Size
Spots are intentionally limited to keep the experience social and make it easier to actually get to know people.
You'll be assigned to your escape room team before the event, so you do not need to organize a group or purchase tickets together.
Before the Event
A waiver and final event details will be emailed to attendees prior to the event. The waiver must be signed before participating.

Parking & Arrival
Gaslamp parking can be a bit of an escape room itself, so please allow extra time to park.
There are several paid garages and lots nearby, while street parking is limited. Rideshare and the trolley are also great options.
The nearest trolley stop is Gaslamp Quarter Station on the Green Line.
Remember: check-in begins at 6:45 PM and everyone must arrive by 7:00 PM.
