Do you want to bring joy to yourself and someone else? If so, join our "Friend Volunteer" course!This course equips you to act as a volunteer friend to someone experiencing loneliness. You will gain the basics of being a friend, how to meet the person you are supporting, and an overview of the different types of friendship activities available in Lahti.
After the course, you can volunteer as a friend for an hour or two at a time, according to your own schedule. You don't need special qualifications—just a desire to help is enough. Your reward will be a sense of well-being, along with new friends and experiences.
The course will be held on Monday, October 12th, 2026, from 5 to 8 PM at the Finnish Red Cross (SPR) Lahti branch premises: Vapaudenkatu 8 A, 2nd floor, 15110 Lahti.
