About this Event

🍂🌱 FRIENDSGIVING PLANT SWAP 🌱🍂

Calling all planty parents, plant lovers, friends, families, and newbies!

This November, our Gardening in Tomball Monthly Plant Swap is getting a special Friendsgiving twist! 💚

Join us on the first Sunday of November from 3 PM–5 PM for an afternoon of plants, food, friendship, family, and community.

Our Friendsgiving is open to EVERYONE! Bring your family. Bring your friends. Bring the kids. Bring someone who's never been to a plant swap before. This is a community table, and there's room for you.

🍽️ FRIENDSGIVING POTLUCK

We're inviting everyone to bring something to share, potluck style!

Individually wrapped or originally packaged foods and drinks are encouraged when possible, but bringing food is absolutely NOT required to attend.

If you're bringing something, post what you're bringing under the event announcements so everyone can see what's already coming to the table. It’ll help us create a fun mix without everyone accidentally showing up with 37 bags of chips.

🌱 YES, WE'RE STILL SWAPPING PLANTS!

Bring your vibrant indoor or outdoor plants, fresh cuttings, rooted seedlings, extra seeds, or gardening goodies to trade with fellow plant enthusiasts.

Don't have anything to swap?

Come anyway!

Your presence is what matters. Whether you're just starting your plant journey or you've been gardening for years, you're welcome to hang out, meet people, learn from others, share some knowledge, eat a little food, and enjoy an afternoon with friends and family.

🌿 WHAT CAN YOU BRING TO SWAP?

We exchange all kinds of plants and gardening-related items, including but definitely not limited to:

• Seedlings • Seedling pots • Plants • Cuttings • Seeds • Unused soil • Used or unused growing kits • Fertilizer • Sandwich and snack bags • Plant markers • Unused toothpicks or skewers • Coffee grounds • Pine needles • Straw • Cleaned and sanitized glass food jars • Cleaned and sanitized rotisserie containers • Gardening tools • Gardening books • Pots, accessories, and other useful gardening supplies

Get creative! If you have something sitting around that another gardener could put to good use, bring it along.

💚 MORE THAN A PLANT SWAP

This one is about spending time together.

Bring the family, invite a friend, meet someone new, share a plate, trade a plant, exchange some gardening knowledge, and enjoy a couple of hours with the people who make our community what it is.

You don't have to bring food. You don't have to bring a plant. You don't have to know anyone.

Just come.
