✨ Habitat Restoration with Friends of Burleigh Head National Park (Jellurgal)! 🐨Join this dedicated group of volunteers, led by ecological restoration expert Mitch Grieve, as they work to restore the unique biodiversity and cultural landscape of Burleigh Head (Jellurgal). Get stuck in to hands-on conservation by removing weeds and protecting the biocultural legacy of Jellurgal for generations to come.
No prior experience needed, just a willingness to learn and care for this special place.
If you are unable to volunteer in the field, volunteering with your baking skills is also appreciated! Please bring a plate to share if you feel inclined.

What to Bring
💧Water bottle
☀️Sun protection (hat and sunscreen)
🥾Covered shoes/boots
👖Bush-appropriate clothing (long sleeves/pants)
🧤Your own gloves (if possible)
🎒A backpack or bag for your gear
This event is recommended for ages 16+ and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The event will begin with some welcomes and introductions, and then attendees will have the opportunity to get stuck-in to some ecological restoration (W**d removal) supervised by an expert.
