Tournament Schedule
10:00 AM – Player check-in & warm-up courts
10:30 AM – Ladder tournament begins
12:30 PM – Midday raffle drawings
3:00 PM – Final games and closing raffle
Your participation helps Friends for Sight expand access to eye exams, vision screenings, and prescription glasses for Utah students, ensuring more young people can see clearly and succeed in school.
The Challenge We’re Solving
● 70% of Utah kids who fail a vision screening do not get the glasses they need. ● 118,000 Utah students currently need glasses or have an undiagnosed vision issue. ● 1 in 4 Utah children need glasses, and more than 30,000 require SightFest-level support.
● Barriers include cost, under-insurance, referral gaps, transportation, and the stigma sometimes associated with free care.
These unnecessary barriers are solvable and donors help make that possible.
How Friends for Sight Makes an Impact
Our patient-first, community-embedded model reimagines access to eye care by meeting people where they already are: schools, community sites, and workplaces.
Our Core Programs:
SightFest Pop-Up Clinics – Single-school-day, high-impact vision clinics providing screenings, exams, frame selection, and glasses to 50–120 students on site. After SightFest, each pair of glasses is personally delivered and fitted at the student’s school, ensuring no barriers to follow-up care.
School Vision Screening Program – Supporting school nurses and staff with early detection screenings for 65,000f of Utah students each year.
Three Brick-and-Mortar Clinics – Established locations providing year-round access to vision services for families statewide.
