About this Event
Yes, this Friday with Frida is on a Thursday. It's the holidays. Rules bend.
We're heading to Dogpatch, San Francisco's old industrial waterfront turned makers' playground, where former warehouses and workers' cottages now house studios, galleries, and some of the city's best lunch spots.
Right in the middle sits the Museum of Craft and Design, home this season to OBJECTS: USA, the legendary 1969 exhibition reimagined for now. Wendell Castle and George Nakashima meet the Haas Brothers, Roberto Lugo and Tanya Aguiñiga in a show that asks what we choose to value, and why.
We'll get a special tour led by the museum's chief curator, then roll up our sleeves for some hands-on creative fun of our own. After all, the best way to appreciate making is to make something yourself. We'll round things off with lunch nearby.
Consider it an early gift to yourself.Same Frida, different day. Bring a friend.
