I was aged about twenty when I first read ‘A Room of one’s Own’ by Virginia Woolf. I was enchanted and resolved one day to make that room happen by giving it bricks, mortar and a credited bank account. I had a mongrel career in the arts for forty years and on my retirement in 2000 aged 60, I set about fulfilling my ambition. This book, and my talk are how it all came together and which I set it up in Warwickshire.
