If you like piña coladas and that smooth Californian cool, then slip on your deck shoes and settle in as Melbourne's breeziest 7-piece yacht rock lineup brings the magic of the late '70s and early '80s back to life. From Hall & Oates, Christopher Cross and Carly Simon to Fleetwood Mac, Toto, Steely Dan and a few perfectly placed surprises, Buoys of Summer delivers the soundtrack to sunset cocktails, Hawaiian shirts, and songs you forgot you loved.
With a mix of powerhouse male and female vocals, sax that can seduce a room, killer guitar solos, silky keys, and a rock-solid rhythm section, there’s nothing but smooth sailing.
It’s the best of certified yacht rock classics, plus a few songs that probably should've been yacht rock (and we're claiming them anyway) – all wrapped up in a feel-good voyage of lush harmonies and dance-floor nostalgia.
Supporting on the night are Wingello.
