ABOUT FRESH START FURNISHINGS
As the only organized furniture and home goods resource serving Harford and West Cecil counties, our mission is to transform empty houses into homes for individuals and families facing financial hardship. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Aberdeen, Maryland. Since 2016, we’ve furnished more than 1,950 homes and helped over 5,700 people begin again with hope.
ABOUT NANA
The Nonprofit Advocates Networking Alliance — NANA — sits at the intersection of two familiar models that each, on their own, deliver real value.
The first is the professional networking group, which brings people together to build relationships and exchange opportunities. The second is the civic organization, which grounds individuals in a sense of shared responsibility and commitment to something larger than themselves.
NANA brings together business professionals, experienced retirees, and community leaders who are passionate about a cause — and focuses their time, insight, and expertise on a single nonprofit, month after month. The result is something deeper than a referral and more lasting than a volunteer shift: a genuine, sustained partnership that moves the needle for the organizations doing the hardest work in our community.
What makes NANA truly unique is the network. Each group meets at a different time and supports a different cause — and every member has access to all of them. As the network grows, so does the impact. More nonprofits supported. More professionals connected. More community needs met.
