About this Event
Join us for Frequency — a monthly live music series at Worth Gallery. Frequency spotlights BIPOC musicians, and celebrates sound, connection, and creative expression.
This edition of Frequency features Janel Jones, who we welcome back, to take us on an immersive meditative journey of reflection through sound.
Janel is a Queer Black multi-disciplinary artist whose practice centers healing, self-expression and connection through sound. Her work invites audiences into spaces of reflection, release, and embodied listening, where sound becomes a shared energetic journey. Rooted in jazz, soul, and contemporary improvisation, her sound is shaped by her Caribbean heritage and over a decade of performing within Toronto’s creative music community. Janel uses music as a space to honor their ancestors, tell stories, and hold the complexities of their multi-layered intersectional earth experience.
Located in the lower gallery — down a flight of stairs.
