I first met j-me in Canada at an event we called her the storyteller, we sat there for 5 hrs at the end of a festival listening, quickly became good friends. Over the yrs we always remained good friends, she encouraged me with great advice that helped me so much. I saw her become a great dj, we both played similar styles, Jessica is going to be working with us on this she inspired both me and jme’s track selections. I’ve seen j-me play the best set of the night at times. J-me’s house was a home to us all. I’ve been wanting to do this since she passed, this was her & ice colds main event that was always a great family gathering. Over the yrs i partnered with her in some aspects, like when we did it at the Irish Centre with Zeds Dead on their first tour, but this was J-me’s baby, we made a vow I’d do Love Eternal every yr as long as she did Freeze this, what’s weird is we each did the same amount, I would want Love eternal continued if someone desired so. I hope in some way she can live on with this, were studying all the past ones to do it like she would want this yr, maybe someone else will keep it going after us, this is great night to remember and celebrate the life of our sister J-me. I need the line up to be one she would love. She use to do toys for tots, I would drop them off (sometimes got to play Santa for some of our less fortunate friends in the scene on the way) were doing this out of love for J-me and you all, I’d love to hear any great J-me stories, mixes, pics, post them in the discussion.
