On October 13, join representatives from New Jersey Natural Gas and community action agencies at Elks Club (91 Throckmorton Street) in Freehold from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to learn about grants to help pay your energy bills. You’ll receive in-person assistance with the eligibility and application process. Income guidelines are higher than you might expect. For example, a family of four with a household income of up to $160,276 may qualify. To apply for assistance, customers must bring:
• Social Security cards for all household members.
• Government-issued ID for applicant.
• Proof of income for all household members over the age of 18.
• Deed or rental lease.
• Recent natural gas and electricity bills.
