Free Yo’ Mind is an invitation to reflect on what freedom means - mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and collectively. While Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States, the realities of anti-Black racism, systemic oppression, and intergenerational trauma continue to impact Black communities today.
Through Hip Hop culture, spoken word, music, and storytelling, this gathering creates space for Black youth, artists, and community members to release, reconnect, and reimagine healing together.
Expect:
- Open mic performances (Black youth 12-29)
- Featured artists & live music
- DJ sets & community vibes
- Interactive reflection activities
Come share your voice.
Come celebrate Black creativity.
Come Free Yo’ Mind.
