About this Event
Join us Saturday December 5th and 12th (12/5 and 12/12) at 11:00 AM for a winter nature walk with the Somerville Community Growing Center!
Open to all ages and experience levels, these walks invite us to get outside, explore our local ecologies, build collective knowledge and awe around them.
Each wander will begin and end at the Somerville Community Growing Center (22 Vinal Ave, Somerville, MA 02143) . You are welcome to come to one or both events.
Please dress for the weather! Hats, gloves, layers, and sturdy footwear are recommended. Please reach out if you do not have access to those things and we will try to connect you. A warm drink is also encouraged!
If conditions allow, we will be exploring the neighborhood. Routes will be mapped to prioritize the clearest, wheelchair-accessible and least icy paths, but dressing appropriately is essential for comfort and safety.
This series will be led by Phoebe Grupper (she/they) an environmental educator and ecologist from Brooklyn, NY.
See you there!
