About this Event

Join us on Saturday 18 Oct 2025 at the Artizan Street Library & Community Centre to learn how to fix and repair your clothes - for FREE!

As part of , the are joining forces with Sunny Jar Eco Hub to host a variety of clothing repair workshops. We will be repairing and adorning clothing in beautiful but practical ways. Come join us and we will help you fix those pesky holes, stains and tears.

All skill levels and abilities are welcome! We will provide all material needed to practice, but please do bring along your damaged clothes to apply your learned skills directly if you would like to.

Booking a free ticket is essential to participate in this 'Visible mending' workshop.


See below for the schedule for the clothing repair workshops taking place at Artizan Street Library throughout the day – please note you need to register for each event separately:


10:00 AM - 11:30 AM - Visible Mending

We will teach you how to use different embroidery stitches to cover holes and stains and add a unique & creative element to your clothes.

12:30 PM - 2:00 PM - Sashiko Patching

Learn the Japanese art of stitching fabric patches to mend holes and worn areas.

2:30 PM - 4:00 PM - Clothes Mending Drop-in Surgery

Bring your worn clothes and we will show you how to fix them.


Accessibility: Artizan Street Library & Community Centre has step free access and a disabled toilet.
