Spark is bringing people together through Join Alamosa, a locally organized initiative inspired by the documentary Join or Die. Through a film screening, community conversations, and a Community Connection Fair, we want to help neighbors discover places to belong and meaningful ways to volunteer, join, serve, and participate. We’re inviting local organizations and businesses to help make those connections possible.This is more than a film screening. The film starts a conversation about connection and civic life; the conversations and fair help people discover local ways to get involved. We want to connect people with what’s already here. Local clubs, organizations, volunteer programs, and community resources all have something to offer.
There are different ways to participate. Residents can attend and explore opportunities; partners can share their work; sponsors can help make the initiative possible. The goal is a more connected community. We want to grow partnerships and strengthen our ability to work together in support of our neighbors.
The Community Connection Fair will take Place at Alcott Center in Monte Vista on March 20th, 2027. Stay tuned for more information!
