Description: In this class we go over the basics of free motion quilting and do quite a bit of practicing, while hopefully making it fun and not stressful! I have several tricks, plus we will talk about needles, thread, tension, and lots more. I will have samples of many quilting designs and can demo any that students want to see. There is no finished project for this class.
Supplies: One to three quilt sandwiches with muslin or other light colored fabric (12 x 18” is a good size), thread for top and bobbin that contrast with each other and with your fabric, needles that match your thread size (I like microtex or topstitching needles) free motion foot, extension table for machine if you have one, sewing machine manual if you have it. Quilting gloves optional.
