About this Event
Before the week begins again, come back to yourself.
For one quiet hour, step away from the noise, put your phone aside and give yourself permission to simply be here.
You don't need to clear your mind.
You don't need to be good at meditation.
You don't need to fix anything.
Just arrive as you are.
Together, we’ll practise meeting whatever is here with a little more gentleness, curiosity and kindness.
The busy mind.
The worry.
The self-doubt.
The inner critic.
The things we’re carrying into the week.
Mindfulness isn't about escaping life. It’s about learning how to meet life as it is, with greater presence, clarity and freedom.
I'm Joanne Farley-Webb, an artist based at Metro House and a Dharma Moon and Tibet House Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher.
I'm not on social media by choice and run creative wellbeing sessions from my art studio, The Peaceful Paintbrush.
Over the summer, I really enjoyed practising outdoors in Priory Park and it got me thinking about how lovely it would be to create a regular meditation community, or sangha, in the park.
So that's how the Sunday Sessions began.
A simple hour to step away from the noise of the week, slow down, breathe, meditate and spend time together in quiet awareness.
Sunday mornings. 10–11am. Priory Park, Chichester.
🌿 Beginners very welcome.
🌿 Free / donations welcome.
🌿 Bring warm clothes, as the weather gets cooler.
🌿A cushion as we are seated on the ground.
Come and sit with us. Take an hour for yourself.
Come for the meditation. Stay for the stillness.
