A study published in the September 2023 issue of The Lancet Psychiatry analyzed data collected over 20-plus years from more than 150,000 adults across 29 countries. The results showed that about half of people will develop at least one mental disorder by age 75.
I know about mental health difficulties. When I started practicing meditation, the anxiety was replaced with calmness in my body, compassion for myself, and clarity in my work.
As a high-performing tech sales executive with growing goals, a mother of two young kids, dealing with family health challenges, just trying to manage it all, I needed trusted tools to keep me calm. When I started practicing meditation in 2008, my life changed. I began not giving as much attention to negative thoughts, feeling more peaceful, and living more presently in the moment, something that was completely new to me.
