We are holding our annual open tasters session, welcome to all! Whether you want to fight like a Norman soldier or craft some medieval gear, start your journey with Bolton's local living history society.Learn to fight with a shield or spear - there will even be archery!

These sessions are for grown-ups, but mature young people aged 16+ may participate, or 14+ if accompanied by an adult.
The combat session will take place on Sunday the 4th of October at Queen's Park. Arrivals from 10:30am, with safety briefs at 11am and kicking off from there. The session will run until 3pm, with a lunch break in the middle. Gear will be provided. Participants will need to bring a pair of gloves (any kind except fingerless) and a bottle of water.
The craft session will be running on the evening of the 7th at Bolton Lags & Girls Club, 7pm to 9pm. All equipment will be provided.
