About this Event
Join us for a Lunch and Learn at Arnold Palmer Legends Country Club (1635 Palmer Wy, The Villages) on Monday, November 9th at 12 PM to better understand some of the behavioral changes that can come with Alzheimer's disease.
Are you caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's disease? Are you experiencing changes in their behavior? Alzheimer's is more then memory loss, thought it is often the most thought of symptom of the disease. Often patients can become restless, irritable, or suspicious, or see or hear things you can't. These changes can be confusing, exhausting, and frightening.
Join us for an informative discussion on:
- How Alzheimer's can look different from person to person, and why no two journeys are the same
- What agitation looks like, from pacing and restlessness to raised voices and refusing help
- What it can mean when a loved one sees, hears, or strongly believes things that aren't real
- How these changes can show up at home and affect everyday routines
We invite anyone interested in this topic and specifically spouses, adult children, family members, friends, and professional caregivers supporting someone with Alzheimer's or memory loss. If you're already seeing changes, if you're just starting to wonder, or if you simply want to be prepared, you're welcome here.
A brief presentation on the latest in clinical research will be given at the start of the event. Doors open 30 minutes (11:30 AM) before the event start time.
Please note that our community events are designed to welcome new guests. You’re always welcome at our movie events, which remain open to the entire Charter Research family!
