About this Event
Join us for a Lunch and Learn at Arnold Palmer Legends Country Club (1635 Palmer Wy) on Thursday, October 20th at 12 PM to better understand the risks, recognize early warning signs, and explore practical steps to protect nerve health and improve overall well-being.
Diabetic neuropathy is one of the most prevalent and debilitating complications of diabetes, resulting from chronic hyperglycemia–induced nerve damage. It commonly presents as distal symmetric polyneuropathy, characterized by sensory loss, neuropathic pain, and progressive functional impairment, particularly in the lower extremities. This condition significantly increases the risk of foot ulceration, infection, falls, and amputation, contributing to substantial morbidity and healthcare burden. Despite current management strategies focused on glycemic control and symptom relief, unmet clinical needs remain in early detection, disease modification, and targeted therapeutics—highlighting important opportunities for ongoing clinical research and innovation.
A brief presentation on the latest in clinical research will be given at the start of the event. Doors open 30 minutes (11:30 AM) before the event start time.
Please note that our community events are designed to welcome new guests. You’re always welcome at our movie events, which remain open to the entire Charter Research family!
