Join Ali at Selwyn College to learn how to pickle and preserve seasonal fruit and vegetables.Participants are encouraged to bring their own fresh produce and clean jars so they can actively take part in the preservation process during the workshop. By the end of the session, they will go home with their own preserved products, ready to enjoy.
In addition to practical experience, the workshop provides valuable knowledge that can be used for ongoing food preservation at home and shared within the wider community. It promotes self-sufficiency, healthier eating habits, and environmentally responsible living.
This Love Food Hate Waste workshop is proudly supported by Auckland Council and delivered by Compost Collective, aiming to inspire positive change in how we store, use, and value food.
