Join Dr Deborah Hart, Head Curator, Australian Art, for a pram/carrier tour of Rosalie Gascoigne. Deborah will lead a relaxed and thought-provoking discussion on motherhood, collecting and creativity in the exhibition.
‘During the early years Rosalie struggled with the challenges of raising a family and feeling like a square peg in a round hole. With hindsight, however, it is clear her time on the mountain [Mount Stromlo] was the crucible of her art, shaping her artistic vision … her experience of slow time— walking, contemplating and discovering, sometimes with children in tow— led her to know the country intimately.’
