About this Event
1p-2p: Strength and conditioning, 3rd through 12th grade
Kids who learn from home get plenty of quiet. What they do not always get is a room full of other kids, music turned up, and an hour of hard work that everybody finishes together.
Coach Jason Lopez is opening Barbell County Fitness in Temple for exactly that. One hour of full body functional training, the same style of session his members run every week. Strength and conditioning taught the way it should be taught to young athletes: real movement, real coaching, scaled to whatever your child can handle that day.
No weight room experience needed. Jason coaches kids across a wide range of ages and ability levels, and nobody stands around waiting their turn. If your athlete has never picked up a barbell, that is completely normal here.
Barbell County is a Kingdom gym. Their motto is "Fight Back in Jesus' Name," and that is the spirit Coach Jason brings to the floor. It is a clean, friendly room, and parents are welcome to stay the entire hour and watch.
